My passion is design. After years as a designer, art director, design director, photographer, and photography director, I still yearn to keep my hands and mind engaged while working both solo and in collaboration with others to solve client communication challenges. Great design is in the details, but my goal is always to keep my team and my clients focused on the bigger holistic challenge. I believe strongly in the importance of the team. Working with other designers gives you the chance to exchange best practices and see solutions from other points of view.

 I was born a raised in Ventura California, a sleepy beach town between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara.

Attended Ventura College earning an AS degree in Commercial Art. After VC, I turned my sights on Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, electing to major in Graphics and Packaging, I graduated with honors, earning a BFA degree in 1995. While at Art Center I met my future wife, whom I married five years later. I am now a father with two teenage boy’s, and live in Alameda CA in the SF Bay area.

If I am not spending time with my family (hikes and games), I can be found in my garage fabricating a product concept or creating a science experiments with my sons.
